Dr. Seuss::Cat in the Hat

Friday night we got the priviledge to preview the "Art of Dr. Seuss" exhibit at Turtle Bay Exploration Park. One of the visitors was the copyrighted "Cat in the Hat", the one and only mascott in the United States. Turtle Bay was gracious enough to hire a photographer to photograph the visitors with Mr. Cat in the Hat. Below is the shot he took of Joe and I. So much fun! Great job on the exhibit, Turtle Bay!!!

Redding Rain::Cascade Theatre

So our good friend Jonathan was hanging out with my husband yesterday and after I got home from work we all decided to go out for dinner (since my kitchen is currently under construction...). Jon convinced us to go to Duke's (used to be Cool Hand Luke's). The food was pretty good! But afterwards I told them both, ok, we didn't just drive up here to Redding to eat dinner then head back home, so lets drive around the downtown area so I can get some night shots of the Cascade. So below are my favorite shots taken last night. We also went to the top parking garage level of Mercy Hospital for the Redding Lights shot. Had a great time! Although Jon was freezing since he didn't bring a jacket...

Dallas Hunt

Dallas...One of the cutest but HARDEST boys to shoot. :) He's so active and full of life! But by the end of the shoot he about had me wore out. It was fun chasing him around though.

Soo cute!

He's soo adorable! I think this one is my favorite.

MOM! Will you PLEASE tell this photographer lady to STOP taking my picture!

Oh to be a child again...

We finally done?

I think Dallas was super happy when he realized I was finally done. He ran into the church and looked back at me like "haha! You can't get me anymore!". :) We love you Dallas! One day you'll grow up and appreciate all these pictures.

Raining Tree

Believe it or not, this one was taken with my cell phone! I was sitting in my car in the Costco parking lot and I looked up and this is what I saw:

Sean & Lauren::New Year's Eve

Had the honor do a portrait session with one of my husband's coworkers, Sean, and his beautiful girlfriend, Lauren! By the end of the session we all were having such a great time! I'm sure they got a kick out of me crawling all over the ground and holding weird positions just to get these awesome shots! (NOTE: I will be uploading more shots from this session as I get them finalized.)
-Jen

P.S. Thank you to Katie for tagging along as my assistant! It was nice knowing there was someone else watching out for my equipment. At one point I thought these kids were going to trample my lighting setup! Crazy...

Check it out Sean! Looks like I did get a shot with the sun rays! I was sceptical at first as to whether I'd be able to use this one, but a few tweaks here and there and look what we got! :)

Beautiful couple! :)

Lauren kept telling us that they're not photogenic, but I believe this shot proves otherwise. Absolutely stunning!

Love the smile!

I'd have to say... This one is my favorite!

Dutch angle! :) One of my favs.

Beautiful! Had such a wonderful time, hope you both enjoy and cherish these portraits!
