Trip to Crescent City, California

Last weekend, Joe and I took off for a weekend trip to Crescent City, California. The 29th was our 6th wedding anniversary! Can't believe we've been married for 6 years already. Seems like yesterday we were saying our vows to each other and now here we are 6 years later with a beautiful son and a wonderful marriage (so far!). Joe works for I-5 Rentals driving truck and hauling huge equipment all over California, so he took me on some absolutely amazing/crazy roads. One of which was Bald Hills Road. We also took a drive up Canyon Creek Road and Fern Canyon. We had so much fun! However the weather wasn't the greatest. It pretty much rained the whole time. But I still was able to capture some awesome scenery and enjoyed exploring with my husband. :)

Karl Taylor is one of the best photographer's I have ever seen. (check out his work at www.karltaylorphotography.com) I'm signed up to receive his newsletters via email and today I finally got a chance to take a look at the professional shoot he did of a whiskey bottle and glass. He went into detail of how he got the shot and it inspired me to play around with some basic lighting at home.

The shots below were accomplished with a standard Better Homes & Garden living room lamp, a Halogen Desk Lamp from Walmart, one of Joe's flashlights with wax paper and Tin Foil.

Jared Michael::9 Month Portraits

Wow, I can't believe my boy is already past 9 months! Seemed like yesterday he was just born. Time goes by way to fast especially when you're having so much fun. :)

Jared now has a total of 6 teeth! The top 4 are coming in fast and furious. So he was pretty miserable when trying to get this pics of him. It was definitely harder to get him to smile than usual. But of course he's still cuter than ever! :) Love you son!

Depoe Bay, Oregon

Got to spend the weekend with my grandparents at the World Mark Condo's on the coast of Depoe Bay, Oregon! We had a splendid time! (Even though it was a short trip). Friday night the weather was awesome! I had hopes of catching an awesome sunset over the ocean, however I lost track of time and pretty much missed it. Saturday was foggy all day, but turns out it was a better sunset than Friday!! I was pretty happy with the shots I captured. :) Enjoy!
